![]() ![]() As much as I like this series I might just have to read the other books, rather than listen. Five or six times the book said someone laughed and there was no laughter on the narrator’s part. He really sounded more robotic and the women sounded a little more masculine. Samuelson did a worse job on this book that Last Resort. ![]() There was a little sexual tension in this book and 2 or 3 sex scenes but no horrible swearing to speak of. I guess what made the story so good was the telling of what Cassey, Marcus, Cole and Roman went through in their youth and the kind of adults they became, loving, caring, all about family. When she finally sets out on her own and buys a run down building along the popular. A story without angst, a story without someone thinking they weren’t good enough for the one they loved. Someday Beach Shelly has always dreamed of going back to Surf Breeze. What a jerk! Although, like Last Resort, there was no OMG moments this was a great story. Tyler, however, was a real piece of work. But, her parents did come around and they did become likable. Then she said, “my parents sound like saints.” And she was right. Shelly, only thought she had a bad childhood until she heard Marcus’s story. ![]()
